Disinformation Campaign……Is That So?

A day after the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has criticized the Israeli authorities for demolishing Arab homes in East Jerusalem, the mayor of Jerusalem has said that Mrs. Clinton has been the victim of a disinformation campaign.

It seems that "The Palestinian Authority and the Palestinian media are feeding her a lot of disinformation".

Well, it was an Israeli human rights organization, B’Tselem that made public the figures connected with the houses demolitions. And it was the Israeli authorities who have annexed some 70 sq. km boundaries of West Jerusalem after the 1967 war and have also annexed territory that belonged to private owners and by the end of 2001 46.978 houses units have been built for Jews on this land. It is also a known fact that more than 1.500 people could loose their homes because the Israeli authorities are planning to demolish them. They consider them as being illegal and handed eviction notes to the owners of 80 houses in al- Bustan neighborhood.

Where is the disinformation here? The Israeli authorities are the ones who gave the eviction notes, everybody knows about the settlements and the settlements plans…those are facts, there is no disinformation campaign in this….
