India's RAW behind Lahore Attack

Pakistan's largest daily newspaper, Jang in its English Edition “The News” today has printed a government document dating back to January 2009 whereby, Pakistan's intelligence agency, Crime Investigation Department (CID), warned that India's RAW (their premier intelligence agency) will target the Sri Lankan cricket team during its visit to Pakistan.

The report states as follows:

"It has reliably been learnt that RAW (Indian intelligence agency) has assigned its agents the task to target Sri Lankan cricket team during its current visit to Lahore, especially while travelling between the hotel and stadium or at hotel during their stay.

2. It is evident that RAW intends to show Pakistan a security risk state for sports events, particularly when the European and the Indian teams have already postponed their proposed visits considering it a high security risk to visit Pakistan.

3. RAW has also collected photographs of leaders of Jamaatud Daawa (proscribed) and its establishments to target them.

4. Extreme vigilance and heightened security arrangements indicated."

This is not the first time RAW's hand in Pakistan has been revealed. Quite recently, they were blamed for unrest in Karachi that followed right after the Mumbai Crisis of November 2008. Their agents have been caught too from the border area.

RAW's involvement in Pakistani affairs dates back to the day of the creation of Pakistan. Last year, one prisoner that government of Pakistan freed in early 2008 on humanitarian grounds, having served over 35 years in Pakistani prisons, went back to India only to openly boasted to the media that he was a paid RAW agent sent on a mission to Pakistan in early 1970s. That incident effectively ended prisoners exchange between the two nations and also proved without doubt that India does involve itself in Pakistan's internal affairs.

If this intelligence report is taken to be true, then there will be a significant escalation of hostilities between India and Pakistan. This also means that India can no longer cry foul when it is now proven that it is “officially” causing mayhem across the border.

I think what has happened is extremely sad, but there is no point of blaming each other. Both Pakistan and India have faced worst forms of terrorist attacks, in which number of their own local people were killed. Nothing at the moment can make up for the loss that Sri Lankan sports team had to face. I hope for a better and terrorism free tomorrow.

Whatever happened in Pakistan with Sri Lankan players is really very sad. But blaming somebody is not the solution, its better to find the culprits and give punishment to them, as they are in Pakistan, who knows who they are. It is the responsibility of Pakistan government as well as securities to destroy all the terrorists organization running in Pakistan.

I had written at the time of the attack that Pakistan would start the blame game...admit to the situation in the country and take concrete steps to change it....

I was not sure it could be India behind this as our leaders repeatedly kept saying there is a fair chance for that possibility. Those terrorists, their every movement was similar to those clips of Mumbai attacks. Its shocking!

The blame game was initiated by India last year. So it is their job to show some responsibility in stopping it. In fact, they are still blaming Pakistan for all the ills in their country.

India is palying dirty politics. Some Hyenas are behind them. India's target is the Nuclear Facility. To demolish it they and the hyenas are making the background. How they invaded Iraq? How they invaded Afghanistan. They created a bacground by all the media and even got some innocent lives of their own. Nothing found in Iraq. Nothing found in Afghanistam Same can happen to Pakistan because India and the hayenas are on their way. RAW playing their role. May God protect Pakistan.

Everyone know's how pakistan is playing dirty politics after mumbai attack and about their relationship with afghanistan. They are creating terrorists for their use and now even they are suffering from it. No one else is responsible for this incident. Pakistan should stop blaming others and should find culprits with in them.

Initially, when I read the subject of your post, I thought it would be a report of Pakistan hastily blaming India, as has happened in the past, more on India's behalf than Pakistan's, without any real evidence or proof.
However, if this document did indeed get printed at the said time, then this is really disgusting. But also, if Pakistan was aware of such a threat, they should have taken adequate measures. However, I believe that security protocol was in place.. Even so, both Pakistan and India need to put rest their enmity as it brings more trouble in this region and bad feelings and a sense of loss (in every possible way) rather than anything positive.

For everyone who defends Pakistan and blames India and all else...wait for six months...when the Taliban take over Pakistan, who will they blame...???India??U.S??..when the Gaddafi stadium sees Taliban public executions...wait and watch and then continue the lies and denials....there is not one iota of evidence of RAW involvement...THE ENEMY IS WITHIN...

If RAW could carry out a brazen, open and such broad daylight attack on persons who were apparently assured "Presidential Level" security by Pakistan, and the attackers seemed to have all time in the world to attack in a main city square and WALK,yes WALK away to safety, and simply no Police or other forces being mobolised or seen retaliating, then I think RAW was only doing a childs play. Come on dear Pkistani brothers, look inside your borders you will find solution to your problems, and also what looms large on your horizon, India or Extremism, RAW or Taliban ?

great lahore attack terrorist were fleeing on foot , bicycles, motorcycles why did pakistani security service couldn't catch them at all. It looks clear that pakistan security on that day might be involved, as said by Sri Lankan team and bus driver. Why was same bus route was chosen as of the previous day. Those terrorist had so much arms weapons , why did they left it out without using it much. They had rocket launchers they could have easily killed many players, and Pakistan would be in real trouble, so why didn't they kill any player?
