As per my knowledge, the Athens-Piraeus train was started in 1869 and is the city's oldest public rail service.
Masked youngs have destroyed an Athens city train on Tuesday, resulting millions of euros of damage in the latest arson attack in Greece.
Approximately 20 youths, having hoods and carnival attire, ordered the few passengers on the last train from Athens to Piraeus to disembark before smashing the carriages with sledgehammers, then soaking them with petrol and lastly setting them on fire, then they flee.
As 5 passengers were on board at the time,2200 GMT, attack too much destroyed one six-carriage train and damaged 2 more carriages on another train stationed nearby, also the station was also damaged in the attack.
We are familier with the fact that, arson attacks in Athens after weeks of protests and street violence in December which followed the fatal shooting of a teenager by police.
