Inside The Burj-Al-Arab
The Burj Al Arab is a hotel of superlatives. It is the tallest high-rise hotel in the world, and one can quite easily believe that it's also one of the most expensive and luxurious. In marking its transition from Oil-Sheikhdom to tourist destination, Dubai has erected a structure that is both a landmark and beacon.
Batteries of theatre projectors immerse the massive, illuminated sail-form in changing colour so that even the approach to the hotel on its man-made island is an experience in itself.
