Caution! Zombies Ahead!
Pranksters hacked into programmable road signs.
A roadside sign in Carmel, Indiana, that warned motorists of 'crews replacing guardrails,' suddenly read, "Raptors Ahead Caution."
One motorist said, "It's kind of crazy. I'm totally confused. I'm kind of expecting...dinosaurs to run down the road or something."
Road sign tamperings have been reported in at least three U.S. states.
Near the University of Texas a roadside programmable sign read, "Caution! Zombies! Run!!!" and "Nazi Zombies! Run!!!"
Joe Gasaway, an Illinois Department of Transportation supervisory field engineer said, "We understood it was a hoax, but at the same time those boards are there for a reason. We don't want (drivers) being distracted by a funny sign."
