It appears that Brett Favre did not learn his lesson the first time he retired from the Green Bay Packers. Favre is doing it again. It was reported that Favre has told his agent to announce his retirement from the New York Jets this time around. This comes after the Jets failed to make it to the playoffs this past football season.

Although, the Jets have not heard a formal retirement announcement, they did say that things could change. Of course, they can change. We have all heard this saga before. First Favre was going to retire from the Packers and then he stayed. Then he did retire as the country watched his tearful good bye. Then he changed his mind and wanted to come out of retirement and play again.

You can only cry wolf so many times before someone just says, "Yeah, we have heard it all before." For the many Packer fans that tuned in to see Favre play with the Jets, they have all heard it before. It does get sickening watching a great football player act as a child and unable to make up his mind.

Although this announcement was leaked, we will have to see what Brett Favre has in store for his new teammates. Will he cause the controversy he did for the Packers or will he retire this time without coming back and causing so much disruption to the team.
