In the past mankind has been in the constant struggle for achieving the most novel and bizarre idea for entertainment. Now most of these ideas have been through the roof or a new engineering challenge. Whatever the case may be, it was the public who benefited in terms ff either education or sheer adrenalin rush.
However the state of Nevada has decided to construct a 50 million dollar museum right in the heart of Vegas – the museum of organized crime aka the mob museum. The mayor himself was baffled when he proposed the idea that could have actually stirred up a lot of conspiracy against him since most of these gangs have protection from some sport of government agencies (conspiracy theory). But in the wake of the recent economic downturn, is it viable to build such a massive structure from taxpayers’ money.
Yes, says Ellen Knowlton, who is a retired FBI agent and now in charge of this museum. She also says that officials are also keen on sharing their official work and photographs, transcripts of wire taps and histories to keen tap organized crime in the 50’s and 60’s.
Las Vegas is known for a lot of other things, but education, most certainly not, but this place is just a reminder for people that once it was nesting place for scum of the earth. The plans are to initiate more tourism other than the people who run around naked or organize skanky parties in the posh penthouses.
Since the museum is yet to be unveiled it has managed to generate reasonable hype and most importantly made the sate departments active since FBI and other intelligence agencies are involved in showcasing their untiring efforts to catch the bad guys. Once the museum is up and running curious people would still have to drive all the way west to see this novel creation because what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.
