Juno Award Nominations and Performers Announced

On the last weekend in March Canada will honour its musical stars with the Juno Awards. Awarded by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) will reward excellence in music to Canada's top musical performers. While the actual awards show takes place on Sunday night, the weekend in filled with musical events including the Juno Cup and Junofest - a two day musical festival. The 2009 edition of the Juno Awards will be on March 29 at the General Motors Place in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The first round of performers for the thirty-eighth Juno Awards have been announced with former Juno Award winners topping the list and more performers are to be announced in the coming weeks. On tap so far are Nickelback, Simple Plan, City and Colour, and Sarah McLachlin.
