Appalled by the lack of commitment and shoddy governance displayed by political parties through out the country, post 26/11 bloggers from India have formed launched a website www.neverforget.in.

As the introductory letter from the team says :

The basic idea endeavored to assess progress on appraisable promises made by our elected representatives. A group of young Indians who demand that administrative mechanisms function optimally. An effort in this direction was to set up a non partisan online platform to educate the electorate about the progression and current status of each and every promise stipulated in the manifestos. A key factor is that this information will be obtained & updated by local volunteers from all over the country! The salient features are outlined in the document attached. It would also be an excellent opportunity for elected members of parliament, assemblies and municipal corporations to showcase their achievements to the electorate, demonstrating their dependability, professionalism and transparency.


It truly is heartening to see initiative taken by citizens of the country to bring accountability into the system.
