Budweiser: Clydesdales play ball (1996)

Again this year the super bowl had a lot of boring commercials. As like every year businesses come out and spends millions on 30 seconds of airtime. I would have to say however the Budweiser commercials were probably the best, compared to the Pedigree one about the pet animals, the stupid one with etrade and the boring new Pepsi commercials. I am a pepsi drinker and to have a commercial like that it is boring. Once again we see why the Super Bowl has so many commercial breaks, and why Companies will continue to spend millions on inferior commercials.

I'm interested to see how the ratings were this year. With the economy so bad, there might have been less people watching than previous years. There's also a possibility that more people were watching to relieve stress. I'm sure the corporations who paid for those commercials are wondering the same thing.

Yeah exactly the economy though didnt keep them from spending millions.

I'd say Jack in the Box wins with the Jack-hit-by-a-bus commercial. The to-be-continued angle will hook hardcore fans of JIB commercials. That's a sizable group of TV viewers.

What comes next? Jack's out-of-body experience? A massive outpouring of national love for Jack that brings him back from the brink? Jack is revived and responds with some kind of great deal that lasts until next Super Bowl?

No doubt the good people of Jackenboxia will be holding their two-tacos-for-99-cents-scented breaths as they await word on Jack's condition.
