A news report in the Mail has suggested that the current ecstasy surrounding the American and World community after the historic inaugration of Barack Obama, the number of babies at the end of the year will drastically increase.
This may sound highly unlikely but the way the nation and the world has reacted, it is not as impossible as earlier suggested.
Along with the fact that the American voters aged thirty, the important child-bearing age, and under voted for Obama by a vote of two is to one, and also the current atmosphere and feelings among the American people shines with hope and optimism for the future, a generational event is most likely to occur.
This kind of feelings would result a sure increase in pregnancies.
The current euphoric state could be given a blow by the problems the U.S. currently find themselves in though. The economic tangle, which the U.S. government is currently finding hard to come out of, still dampens the mood of the people.
The theory is pretty noticeable if you consider the new President's own birth date. Mr Obama was born a little over nine months after President John F Kennedy was elected in a similar situation of national euphory.
Whether the boom will occur remains to be seen but in Kenya, where Mr Obama's father was from, babies are already being named after the new leader.
