Ricardo Oyarzun, a renowned fashion designer from Chile is at the receiving ends; annoying the Roman Catholic Church and also sparking outrage amongst people there, for dressing up busty models portraying Virgin Mary. But what really caused the outrage was the way he chose to depict Virgin Mary using the models, where in some cases the models were depicted with almost, naked breasts.
Since the occurence of the incident Ricardo has started receiving threatning calls and foul excrement slandered at his doorsteps. Ricardo has tried to justify the whole awkward incident saying, " This is artistic expression," and moreover the halos and other religious icons he used were not actually depicting Virgin Mary, but they were source of inspirations from her.

"We look on with special plan and deplore those acts which seek to tarnish manifestations of sincere love towards the Virgin Mary, which end up striking at the dignity of womankind by presenting her as an object of consumption," Chile's Episcopal Conference, which includes Catholic bishops," said.
