An MoU or a death certificate for Palestinian civilians?
'MoU between USA & Israel

Look at the title picture more closely. Here we have an outgoing American Secretary of State signing an MoU with Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni. Now think for a moment, Why would someone hurriedly sign over papers the day before their last day in office? Why would Israel rush into this agreement with the US in the final moments of Bush presidency?

This is not an MoU, but a license issued by George W. Bush to Israelis that they can kill, murder and maim as many civilians in Palestine as they want. It is a permit issued by the most powerful government in the world to suppress the most oppressed citizens of the World in Gaza.

Israel knows full well, things will be different under Obama and they may not be able to get the same support as they enjoyed during Bush days. Therefore, they are taking full advantage of the situation by making sure Bush administration gives them the requisite support they need to carry out their carnage in Middle East.

This comes on the heels of a pardon issued by President George W Bush a few weeks back for a gun smuggler named Charles Winters. In 1948 he supplied weapons to Israelis and supported them to fight against the rulers of the land. Since he smuggled weapons illegally to then "Israeli" terrorists who were causing mayham in Jeruselum and nearby cities against the Muslim and Christian residents of Palestine he was a wanted man and spent many a years behind bars. This terrorist is a national hero in Israel.

It is truely ironic that today Israel blames Hamas of smuggling weapons into Gaza when they themselves used such tactics not too long ago. How can a terrorist call another one a terrorist? How can Charles Winters smuggling be justified while Hamas cannot be? The motives and tactics are identical.

The real danger to peace is not puny little Hamas but powerful Israel itself. The region has been most unstable since they forcefully occupied Palestinian terrortories and called it Israel. They have killed, and massacred far more civilians than any other force in the region. It is truely shameful that US government has funded this massacre for over 60 years and never once blinked an eye. This week Condoleeza Rice made sure that the tradition of arming and protecting Israel continues on in the foreseable future and made sure Palestinians continue to suffer.

So sad to know that and so very shocking to see that Israel made sure that their violence is not hampered during Obama presidency as they have gotten a gate pass of oppressing the innocent from the going Bush presidency!

This post educated me on several issues. Great analysis and background information! Bush will continue to cause destruction until the end of his term. But U.S. policy supporting Israel will continue beyond Bush, and this ongoing support is more than unfortunate--it is tragic and deadly. We must redouble our efforts to turn this around.
