Rochus Misch, 90, the last survivor of the Hitler's inner circle, was the telephonist in the Berlin Bunker where he(Hitler) spent his final days before killing himself in 1945.
The Last Witness, a book from Misch to be published in Britain later this year in which he says that one of the most evil dictators in the history of mankind, actually loved to crack jokes.
The Fuhrer was so much fond of jokes that he even sometimes rewarded his men with medals, golds and silvers. Inevitably, his humour had a sinister side and used to keep roaring at his henchmen with laughter with sick jokes about concentration camp victims.
Despite Hitler's fondness for jokes, Misch found him a daunting figure and says: "The first time I met him(Hitler) a chill ran down my spine."
