Palestine Freedom

Palestine is a global tragedy. A holocaust caused by the will and support of the world leaders. Europeans and Americans supported financially and militarily to strengthen Israel in Middle East as a national policy. In the process, millions of Palestinians lost their homes, their livelihood, their land and were made refugees in a homeland where they had resided for over a thousand years.

Israel has slaughtered their women, massacred their children and imprisoned the youth and continues to keep them locked up in Gaza with no humanitarian aid.

The world is quick to condemn Hamas if they resist Israeli atrocities, but never once reprimanded Israel for openly killing women and children for the past sixty years. America's continued blanket support of Israel, regardless of their countless human rights violations, has shown the world their policy of support of apartheid and hypocrisy. They have never once condemned Israel for killing innocent women and children, but have always armed Israeli army with latest weapons that Israel continues to use against civilian population.

The world commemorates holocaust every year. They retell stories to the young ones of genocide in order for them to learn that such acts should never happen again. Yet, we sit idle as Israel is allowed to carry out a modern holocaust and genocide of people of Palestine. It seems that apartheid still lives on. Rather than the skin of the color, it is now ethnic and religious in nature.

It is quite disappointing how CNN, BBC and other Western TV channels shy away from openly condemning Israeli atrocities. It is shameful to see United States “abstain” from voting in UN Security Council when it condemns Israeli brutality. It is truly disheartening, when world leaders prefer to talk peace rather than “act” to make peace happen. America cannot hold the banner of the leader of the free world when it allows freedom in Gaza to be suppressed with his weapons and money.

Today, we all sit in our comfy chairs, watch television in our warm and cozy homes while the people of Palestine rot and die from Israeli bombs. They have no food, no electricity, no water. The children have no milk, no baby food, the injured have no medical care, the people have no warm clothes during the cold nights. We have let Israelis destroy any semblance of life in Gaza. Today, over a thousand lay dead in Gaza morgue and 5,000 injured in the cramped and over crowded hospitals. Almost 60% dead are either women and children which is a shocking shocking statistic. The death toll will rise in the coming days as the ruthless Israeli army continues on with its rampage.

God help us all, God help Palestinians as we, the so called human beings, are too cold and too disconnected from reality to do anything.

a very well written piece. Sadly this is the situation, we all have raised our voices but this doesn't seem enough for Israeli's to stop their massacre.

Its like they are taking revenge of holocaust.

I totally disagree. Around 950 BC, the probable extent of Israelite control started from the upper tip of what is now Tripoli in Lebanon to the lower tip of what probably is now Elat. Their land extended from Kadesh Barnea what is now what appears to be Negev to Kir Hareseth in Moab what is now Dhiban or Madaba in Jordan.

The Israelis have been forced to give bits and pieces away to appease the American Gov't, European Gov'ts and the Moslem world. I hope that Netenyahu will do everything he can to protect his country!

This last attack on the Israelis was started by Moslems. Civilians were used as shields while terrorists were firing ammo across the border. You haven't quite grasped what is happening. Radical Moslems want to annihilate the Israelis for their land and because Allah demands that they overtake the world and forcibly convert people to Islam throughout the world or kill us because we are the infidels.

Read the Quran and find out for yourself. For that matter, read the Word of God. If you want to know what is going on, got to the website below:

there is so much to say but i think it can be better explained in the words of Arundhati Roy. This will help you in understanding the perspective of those who see things , not as they appear or the way they are propagated but how they are in reality. I am sorry but i completely disagree that there is any appeasing done by Israel for American government or European governments. They don't need to. Facts are facts, interpretations can distort them but not to this extent! http://www.facebook.com/ext/share.php?sid=91105926873&h=jVv-L&u=mQMCU... If this link doesn't work search for the documentary We- by Arundhati Roy.

We have been living our own lives as well as making little efforts that we can to only try to help this worsening situation. Probably a week ago, there was a protest in Lahore to stop Israel from alleviating life in Gaza and the crowd was determined to make a change in this situation but what happened? Nothing, yes and it all still continues.

This is a very uncomfortable subject to me as you could argue for either side but just looking at your title made me being unbiased think!
First this is just starting but since Hamas at least want their home back, Israel, they may be trying to destroy Palestine to gain sympathy destroy Israel and get their land back. Just a thought!

The role of media in all this is shameful. A human life is a human life and it cannot be discriminated against. Women and children dying by hundreds is something that everyone should be ashamed of. World values human life by different parameters and this perhaps is the root of all problem. What is happening in Gaza can never be justified by anyone. However it has become an art to justify actions based on religion and the people who should ensure that innocent people should never die like this just sit in their suits and say we cannot do anything. Why do we need a UN when it cannot and will not do anything to prevent this. It is time that member nations evaluate the treatment they get from such impotent international organizations and quit and form their alliances.
