Watch the skies tonite as the moon will be the biggest and brightest this year. This lunar spectacle is a result of the moon being at perigree (the closest point to Earth in its orbit.) I'll be viewing the moon tonite with a Celestron telescope with up to 90x magnification. It's a good telescope for viewing the moon, though not powerful enough for viewing any other common celestial objects. It works well for viewing things on land. Though if there is a consderable amount of haze and/or glare it doesn't focus very well. I hope to see some comets and other phenomenon tonite while watching the skies. What do you hope to see?
