Watching some of the coverage of the war in Gaza I have had plenty of introduction to the plight of the Palestinians. Thus far, their complaints seem reasonable but might be better expressed by insisting that Hamas spend more time on governing and far less time on launching attacks to kill Israelis. Perhaps if it was pointed out that there is a possibility for some of their rockets landing on homes and businesses owned by Muslims living in Israel, or even more tragic, they might kill a Muslim living in Israel. Perhaps a Muslim living in Israel is not considered Halal in the eyes of Hamas.

Since I have not yet seen anybody reporting on what it is like living in Sederot or any other of the communities that have fallen within range of the Hamas rockets, I thought I would post such a comment. One thing I feel that has not been stressed, or possibly even mentioned, is that when Hamas launches rockets and mortars indiscriminately into Israel the victims may not be Jewish, there is approximately a 23% chance of the victims being non-Jews. Above is something I found on You-Tube from a woman living in one of the Kibbutzim bordering Gaza within range of the rocket and mortar fire.

What is needed is a cease-fire that will hopefully lead to a peace agreement that is acceptable to both sides thus ending the so-called cycle of violence. The current situation is obviously untenable and unbearable. The last I heard was that both Israel and Hamas rejected a cease-fire. I pray for the innocents on both sides that they will be allowed to live in peace free of the threats of violence that permeate the current environment.
