South Korean prosecutors have detained a man over an on-line posting which they say has falsely claimed the nation's government is pressing leading firms and banks not to buy US dollars.
The prosecutors say the 30-year-old South Korean national posted the message on an Internet bulletin late last year.

As the suspect admitted to having gone by the name "Minerva", who has been posting South Korean economic analyses since last March.

Minerva, dubbed the "Economic President" on the Internet, attracted hundreds of thousands of readers. Supporters say the analyses are to the point.
But some of Minerva's projections drew criticism that they fueled concern over negative prospects for the South Korean economy.
