Some Israelis and its supporters think that Israel can achieve its goals by Gaza’s invasion. In my opinion, they are sadly mistaken. Israel’s plan has backfired. Israel aggression has angered the moderate Arab countries who were willing to recognize the Jewish state in exchange for peace in the region.

Israeli action will become a problem for the Obama administration. The new administration will find it difficult to get the support of moderate Arab states to contain Iran because of anti-Israeli anger swelling in the region.
