Israel Brutality

I am attaching some original images that I received recently via email. These depict the Israeli brutality towards Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank. As the pictures show, Hamas is not the problem in the Middle East, it is Israeli government and its policy of using violence and brutality. Their policies have created a very destabilized Middle East which is prone to violence.

It is high time, we let our Congresmen, our Senators know that we disapprove of such terrorism by Israel and that we do not want American Taxpayers money going to Israel till they become more peaceful.

you must be an Arab yourself
you don't know what you are talking about
For eight years the civilian Israeli people in the towns and villages near the Gaza border
receiving "rain" of rockets and missiles from the Hamas and other terror
organizations which are hiding behind their civilian population.
This an an impossible situation which no country in the world could tolerate. And now when Israel is trying to stop this madness
by force starts the Arab and Moslems propaganda machine with a cry
against the "Israeli atrocity" you are part of this propaganda
If you want to blame somebody - blame the Hamas which started this war by bombing Israel's towns and villages schools and kindergartens and keep on doing so while crying against "Israel inhumanity"

I have just notice. This picture is a lie against Israel.
It could not be in Gaza. (There is never snow in Gaza)
It was not taken in Gaza nor in Israel...
Also the Uniform of the soldier is not an Israeli army Uniform.
Not only there are lies in your claims. you bring pictures
    which are lies too.
    shame on you.

First of all, I am not an Arab. And regardless of my ethnicity, I cannot see such carnage continue for so long.

Second of all, murdering 700+ Palestinians in 10 days by Israel is nothing short of a Israeli brutality and a mass murder.

Third of all, see the pictures yourself and you will see how Israel is massacring the masses in Palestine.

And lastly, if Israel has nothing to hide, then they should let journalist into Gaza. But they wont, as it will further bring out the truth like these pictures to the world.

Interesting that you did not say one word
about the fact that Hamas is to blame for the actual situation by
firing rockets and missiles killing wounding and terorizing
people BEFORE! Israel did anything in Gaza...
Where were you all this last eight years?!!!
Most of the people killed in Gaza were terrorists
They are hiding in schools hospitals and mosques
(Wherever they know there are civilians...)
they are using women and children as a human shields
Actually in their cynicism they WANT this kind of thing to happen...
One should be against any killing of innocents but it should be
from both sides of the border
but your moral is one sided moral.
You don't care about the women and children from the Israel side
when they are getting killd and wounded...
by your moral they don't deserve protection!
    Wrong!
That's why (Thanks God) the Israeli army acts (At last)
I am sure that you are part of the Arab propaganda.

It's easy to give in to the hatred!

    I struggle with it myself!

But the ONE we of different faiths call by different names, did not give us the miracle of creation and life for what humanity is doing to itself. That is the foundation of whatever faith I can cling to amid my cynicism and despair!

Eden is a metaphor. The Earth can be a paradise, a vast mystical garden of many delights that we can praise G-d for always, but we choose to know another world of our own egotistical conceit.

The world we make of our pride and arrogance cannot rival the reality that was created to teach us and provide for us.

How long? How long must we be enemies instead of allies? There must be a better way for our children and grandchildren than the mindless destruction that we are all guilty of.. the mindless destruction we create in our own souls when we surrender to blind hate.

    I am a conflicted soul.

    G-d help me.

    G-d help us all.

I don't think there is any need to continue to point fingers at who is to blame. No matter which side you point fingers at, both are to blame... And the reason is because it is not Hamas or Israel or any other... It is simply humanity as a whole and the constant strive for more "land, power, resource, profit" etc... at w/e cost, even if it means hurting our own neighbor.
There are no sides in war when people are dieing.. It is simply humanity.. we humans are prone to make mistakes, but that is why we have history which we should learn from... and so far as far as i can tell, we haven't learned much. As we continue to shed blood we continue to be isolated in the past and are unable to move forward. There has to be a shift in awareness for humanity or we are doomed to kill each other and loose all of which we hold dear.

There has to be another way.. i refuse to believe that by killing each other we can solve problems.

What is this all about? Why are we fighting with each other like this?
  • Posted By Majdy Majdy | 11 months ago
I don't get it. What are we fighting for? Religion? Beliefs? Values? Morality? Humanity? What? what is this, my friends???

I call all and each one of you my friend, without knowing you, without giving any notice to your religion, your background, your origin. For me the most thing is that you are human and so am I, and as humans we need to respect each other and be there for each other in all difficult times.

No one is bad, no one is wrong! Everyone has a point, each one of us has a perspective and we have every right to think whatever the way we want to think, but at the same accepting others views is also part of greatness.

Who is to blame? Hamas? Palestinians? Arabs? Israel? All of us will have different views, why because as human nature is, we always think, "I am right and the other one is wrong!" Blaming each other, spitting hatred won't help, bringing out different perspectives to this issue and mutually and logically looking back at history and then reaching to a conclusive discussion might help at least in understanding the present situation.

I come in peace, I write in peace and I believe peace is only possible when our hearts are ready to "SPREAD" peace. Think about it my friends. We do not necessarily need to fight each other to convey our feelings!

    Peace!

    Majdy
  • Reply By GoGreen GoGreen | 11 months ago
Well said Majdy! I completely agree regarding your sentiments about a peaceful and intelligent approach to resolving conflict (in any situation). It can be extremely difficult for both/all sides to do, but we must all try for the sake of peace and humanity (and the innocent children).

I agree some very ugly generalizations and hateful language are being made in this thread which is disturbing and upsetting, and it doesn't help. There are indeed always multiple perspectives to consider even though 50/50 blame rarely exists because life isn't perfect nor close to that kind of evenness/equality. It's easy and convenient for humans to claim 50/50 blame. Even if one side has made more errors in judgment, committed more offensives, crimes, etc., it is never helpful to hate or attack an entire population/country/culture. It's very dangerous.

Yes, crack down, severely criticize, block/stop, etc. a gov't for their actions when they're at the helm. And yes, absolutely expose offenses, crimes, etc, but people must resist reacting with more hatred and violence because the innocent are usually the victims. We all must also stop blaming the failures and actions of past generations and try to approach the future with optimism, peaceful intentions, intelligence and willingness to communicate and raise our levels of consciousness and understanding of others. Otherwise, the violence and hatred will never end. It'll be a never-ending chain of hateful reactions to hateful reactions.

Most importantly right now, we need to support and demand (from people or any gov't, even our own) a stop to the violence, suffering and killing of innocent people.
  • Reply By Avsok Avsok | 11 months ago
Exactly my thoughts. If anyone is to be blamed it is us ourselves... The ego that we all carry within us is to blame. The real enemy is our mind and all the noise it produces. If one is able to suppress that noise only one feeling remains... peace and stillness that is the universe.

The civilian casualties are horrible. War is horrible. But did you seriously expect Israel to sit and do nothing while Hamas lobbed rockets into southern Israel for another 8 years?

Israel pulled out of the settlements and militants used the abandoned settlements as launch pads.

Israel wants peace, but you want to wave the bloody shirt and incite outrage against Israel.

    Here's a clue...

your argument is with the Israeli Government and the Israeli Defense Force. Trying to rally the world against them is good for political manipulation but brings you no closer to peace and understanding with Israel.

Left and right wing governments of Israel have been willing to make land concessions for peace, but Hamas wants the whole thing.

This latest conflict is part of a political manipulation to achieve that. Tell me Hamas is willing to have peaceful coexistence? Seriously... tell me they recognize that Jews have a right to political autonomy in the Jewish homeland. You can't.

You know the Jews aren't going to wake up one day and march into the sea to drown themselves. What's your plan to make them go away? If your plan isn't to make them go away, what's your plan to coexist?
Fire rockets at them for 8 years until they strike back so you can wave the bloody shirt?

That's your plan? I think it sucks. Talk to me when you want to get real.

Let me know when Jews being killed in Israel is as disturbing to you as seeing Muslims killed in Gaza is to me, then maybe we'll have a chance.

    Shalom, yo.

@all, the fact that innocent men, women and children die in such inhuman way is enough to move any sensible human being to tears. Why the whole world is up on its feet to show its' solidarity with the people in Gaza is evidence enough that Israeli politics is not in tune with the popular public opinion which has turned against any kind of state heavy handedness whether be in Iraq, Aghanistan or in the tribal areas of Pakistan.

The world would be a better place if America disbands its military intervention in around 170 countries. We have seen the results in Afghanistan where the Americans failed and we have seen what happened to the Americans in Sudan and Somalia.

Isreal along with Pakistan is a unique nation having its' foundation based on the principle of an exclusive Jewish state. Every time Israel indulges in adventures across its borders, it looses its credibility in the eyes of international community. The peace loving Jewish people in Israel have to bear the brunt of indignation and condemnation which accompany every Israeli misadventure across its' borders.

As concerned citizens we have to take the meaning of each and every word that is spoken against such behavior cutting across our religious barriers.

    Peace be upon you all!

"The world would be a better place if America disbands its military intervention in around 170 countries. We have seen the results in Afghanistan where the Americans failed and we have seen what happened to the Americans in Sudan and Somalia."

Words of wisdom. I Absolutely agree. Policing the world is only going make matters worse. How does one spread peace? Perhaps by example and intelligent non intervention policy. American intervention is undoubtedly one of the leading causes behind chaos in the world.

You guys are arguing about the stupidest things. The fact that you can argue about is the fact that these pictures are of no connection to Gaza. The soldier in the first picture is not an Israeli soldier as evident by the wrong uniform. The picture is not of Gaza, as evident by the snow on the ground and you can see obvious doctoring of the picture as evident by the smudging aroung the scope that is mounted onthe gun.

Liers who try to stir up controversy deserve no comment. Amumtaz, if you actualy have a point and stick by your oppinions don't try to mis-represent them with lies.
