The Apple consumer base may be relatively small in size but its constituents compensate with their sheer fervour. Take a gander at the proportion of Internet forum and technology news content to the Apple cult.
Now this passion has been documented in a film titled "MacHeads". It lasts just 54 minutes and is filmed by an Israeli director and producer team, Kobi and Ron Shely. It premieres today at MacWorld which is appropriate since much of the film was made at MacWorld 2007.
Early viewers of the film have suggested that it is no artistic masterpiece. The editing is somewhat haphazard and there's no clear theme to the film as it meanders between products and users. What the movie does effectively do is communicate that Mac users are a cult headed by the strong personality of Steve Jobs. The film takes plenty of expected jabs at Windows users from die-hard Apple devotees claiming to not engage in relationships with Windows users to slurs directed at banal machines.
