so much for the claims of surgical attacks! This statement was already a joke. Israel just proved itself WRONG yet again!

maidiya, looking at this video and other horrific accounts pouring in from Gaza through twitter and other social networking sites has convinced me that the creation of Isreal by Britain and allied powers some 50 years ago as a separate nation on occupied Palestinian lands was wrong. This is absolutely unjust to deprive a people of their land and force them to live in refugee camps. When Israel talks about giving back Palestinian territory as they have been doing for some time now after handing over a part of West Bank and Gaza Strip, makes me feel that how insensitive we are towards the suffering of Palestinian people.
On the one hand they are the victims of Israeli aggression which has been going on since 1948. They have been forced to live like beggars at the mercy of Arab and Western donor countries and UN.

Instead of launching a full fledged aggression against Palestinians in Gaza for which they were preparing for the last few months, Israelis would have been in a better security situation if they agreed to the Saudi drafted peace proposal which was acceptable to most of the parties including Isreal, instead they tried hard first to weaken President Abbas by sidelining him and then they tried to scuttle the peace process by enforcing a complete blockade of Gaza.

I am very sure that this time around the fallout of this war may be much stronger on the Isreali side as they have been isolated in the international community. It is only the belligerence of US which is providing it the much needed support in its aim.

On a parting note let me say that Tony Blair who also has Iraqi blood on his hands must be kicked out from his post as Middle East Envoy for the UN Quartet!

I am sure some think i am an ass for saying it but Israel like Bush does not care about the collateral damage (civilian deaths) they have to feign concern or look like the killers they are as they go about the business of getting what they want!

I have to tell you, you're entirely right! I have repeated it often but a couple years back Ahmadinejad said that if Europe felt so strongly about wronging the Jews they should have given up part of their own country to give them a home.

I firmly agree! It was dead wrong giving that land to the Israeli's! Jerusalem belongs to the 3 great Religions and should be shared like gaza etc but that will never happen as muslims and Jews both feel it belongs to them.
We dislodged Islam there! We screwed them in Africa,Spain, Pakistan, Afghanistan, everywhere you can think of and Bush has the gall to say we did nothing wrong! We are friggen brain dead as a Government!

Anyway Bush attacked Iraq to get in the middle east help Israel make a safety buffer and attack Iran to create a new middle east order! Everything has been done to find an excuse to get this going with Iran.

It looks like this will work and they will not stop until it does!Alienating the world does not matter to the warmongers Bush and Israel only having their way! This is still just taking shape and don't forget Russia!

Israel used it to declare a country, but on the other hand Palestinians didnt, day after Ben Gurion declared Israel State, it was attacked by all the sarrounding countrys.
Palestinians were interested to get all the land, Israel's too. They didnt do anything back then to become a country, until Israel was attacked again in 1967 by all the sarrounding contrys again. At this was Israel Conquer the west bank, gaza, sinay, golan.

My point is that Muslims have over 50 countrys in the middle east, and Israel's Territory is less then 1% of the middle east. don't you think that the jewish people deserve a home land after all the suffering they gone thrue? Most of the Israeli People are interested that palestinians will declare their own country but by peaceful means. not by shooting Katyusha Rockets into Israeli Civilians.

I can tell you that every other country would do exactly the same thing after 8 years that their citizens being under rocket attack every day.

I live In Ashkelon, 8 Miles from Gaza. Ashkelon has been under Katyusha Rocket Attack almost for one year, this city has over 120k civilians. every day we live in fear, try to stay out of the streets, run to shelter when you hear the sirens and pray that the rocket won't hit you.

Have you ever seen Jewish people blow up on the streets in order to kill innocent people? use children as human shields? hide weapons in sinagouges, schools, homes?

It is so sad! I am going to discuss this today so your statement is timely! The land should be shared but it never will be. This is a very convoluted subject! Anyway you look at it, it would take volumes to ADEQUATELY DISCUSS AND RESOLVE NOTHING. THIS IS JUST BEGINNING AND THANKS TO BUSH IT IS GUARANTEED TO NOW ENGULF THE ENTIRE MIDDLE EAST THEN THE WORLD!
