What can be said in New Year rhymes,
That's not been said a thousand times?
The new years come, the old years go,
We know we dream, we dream we know.
We rise up laughing with the light,
We lie down weeping with the night.
We hug the world until it stings,
We curse it then and sigh for wings.
We live, we love, we woo, we wed,
We wreathe our prides, we sheet our dead.
We laugh, we weep, we hope, we fear,
And that's the burden of a year.

i totally love the poem.

My new year song is usually ' same old shit, different day... gota get up gotta get up' ;) i guess time to switch to this one.

Haha.. that was a really cool rhyme and I gots to say, it captured the spirit of the new year! I hope this coming year is awesome for all of us, although it doesn't seem like it because it just seems like a whole lot of s**t is just WAITING to drop down on all of our heads, but it never hurts to be optimistic.
