Plastic surgeon powers car with body fat
Dr. Alan Bittner of California wrote on his website that he had successfully used fat obtained through liposuction of his patients to power both his own car and that of his girlfriend.
He insists his patients have urged him to put their excess fat to good use. And he can think of no better use than promoting a green environment by using biodiesel.
He has not provided any technical details on how human fat was converted into auto fuel though Forbes magazine says that a gallon of human fat should provide just as much energy as a gallon of diesel fuel.
But the problem is that American law does not allow you to use medical waste as a fuel. Lipodiesel.com has thus been blocked, Bittner's clinic shut down and an inquiry initiated to understand what exactly happened and its consequences.
