Polish photographer and author, Krystian B., was accused of murdering Dariusz J in 2000. He denied murder, but he described similar crime in his novel "Amok" published in 2003. The book was the evidence in today's finished trial and Krystian B. was sentenced for planning, ordering and supervising the murder. He kidnapped and locked up the victim, starved him, then dumped him into the Odra River to drawn. Krystian B. murdered Dariusz J. because he suspected him of having an affair with his wife.
It's the first time in Poland that a novel has been used to convict its own author of murder.
