Harris Interactive conducted a survey of 2,100 American adults sponsored by Intel. 46% of women said they would rather go for two weeks without sex than the Internet. 30% of men concurred.

65% of respondents accepted they could not survive without the Internet rating it more crucial than activities such as eating out, shopping and gym memberships. Reasons cited for the indispensability of the Internet included managing of personal finances, keeping up with news and bargain hunting.

A separate survey established that over half of the users of online finance tools never missed a timely payment.

Over 90% of those surveyed confirmed that they had received a boost in at least one aspect of their life through the use of online services. The most commonly cited area was maintaining touch with friends and contacts through networking tools.

For sure! I would also agree with the 46% of women out there. Internet, and the cellphone. Two things that have become necessities!
