Ronaldo - Two Thousand and 9 Phenomenal

RonaldoRonaldo the phenomenal number 9 has been presented to his new team and fans, the Sport Club Corinthians of Sao Paulo. The presentation ceremony took place on Friday 12/12/08 and had the presence of 6 thousand supporters and over 400 journalists at Parque Sao Jorge, their home ground.

They watched a presentation of his great career including his amazing achievement as the all times Football (Soccer) World Cup scorer with 15 goals. He was then presented the number 9 shirt with the phrase : Two Thousand and 9 Phenomenal.

Ronaldo was then taken to the field where he was welcomed with loud shouts from the crowd, fireworks display and 20 thousand black and white ribbons thrown into the the air, the official colours of the team.

He is still recovering from yet another knee surgery and does not have an official date for his debut but he has been reported to be training lightly as part of his recovery.

The famous number 9 has had a career full of ups and downs, plagued by injuries followed by great come backs, he was voted best world player by FIFA not less than 3 times and played in some of the most prestigious teams in Europe.

Some say this is his last move, that he's at the end of his career and according to the President of Sao Paulo FC a big rival who ironically said "Corithinans is the place to end his career".
