I agree with you pranay. This has gone just a little way too overboard. There is indeed a fine line between creativity and profanity and one has to stay clear and extremely careful to avoid treading on the wrong of the line.

Yes Majdy, definitely...it is a bit insensitive and unnerving... they have apologized for it...but I think the apology was already ready before they even published the cover.

Real bad taste. Not the girl but the choice of character to make a mockery about, they (Playboy) clearly don't care about the way to go to get attention. Specially in a highly catholic country, I sometimes wish Christians were more like the Muslims in the way they respond to blasphemy.

Thanks! On the last line I wanted to say that the Christians should be outspoken about things like this.Even some protesting on the streets. But apparently Playboy has officially apologized to the Mexican people about this whole situation.

I think that is quite offensive for the Christian community (even though am not), Mother Mary I believe is well respected in Christianity. What do the Christians think though?

No big deal these days; don't like it? Don't look. As long as the magizines are not displayed in a way that people have to look at the cover, then I say "freedom of speech"

I am not sure freedom of speech would fit this situation... it's definitely a marketing strategy (creative I must say but insensitive). Freedom of speech is always getting confused with "anarchy" of speech. Even freedom must have guiding rules...
