It was reported that 6 children died in China after drinking milk laced industrial chemical melamine. Melamine are normally use to make plastic and I just can't understand their purpose and incorporate it with milk for they knew that this will cause death and health problem.

It was also reported that over 294,000 people suffered from kidney related problems because of this.

Now China's health ministry was collecting medical information to make preparations for compensation, Spokesman Mao Qun'an was quoted in regards to this issue. No matter what they do, the damage has been done, the usage of melamine need to be stop especially if they are using it to affect someone’s health.

The families affected by this need to be compensated even if they don't ask because it is China's government who need to get to the bottom and the manufacturer of the said dairy product need to be penalized for misuse of the said chemical.

Basically China is not the only country affected about this Melamine issues since there are so many products exported out from China worldwide.
Even we need to be very careful of what dairy product to buy and where it came from. I must say that for now we only patronize dairy products that we trust.

Records indicate no children outside China died from tainted milk. Somehow this is good news.

100 percent true. We all know that melamine will affect the kidneys of milk drinkers especially the children. They are being used by chinese manufacturers to lower the cost of milk and other dairy products. We must avoid consuming milk and other dairy products from China for at least 6 months.
