An elephant is a big animal. Big animals normally eat more than small animals. Also, big animals then end up pooping more than small animals. Now that a connection has been made between big animals and high quality and quantity poop, let me now introduce you to the Great Elephant Poo Poo Company.
The Great Elephant Poo Poo Paper Company focuses on making all sorts of innovative, creative, eco-friendly, degradable products from elephant poo! The company has a dynamic international team that is present at their modest outfits in North America, Australia, Japan, and Europe. The team works by making fantastic products by using age-old paper making techniques, evolved locally over hundreds of years.
Now, let’s have look at the process of how this innovative company ends up turning a huge mound of elephant poo into high quality paper. The Poo Poo Company works in close collaboration with various conservation parks to gather elephant dung. This elephant dung is considered to be high in fibrous material and makes great paper. A portion of the profits earned from selling this paper are then contributed to elephant welfare and conservation programs.
The company collects naturally dried elephant dung from elephant conservation parks and brings it back to the paper-making factory. The elephant dung is then pre-rinsed with water, leaving only fibrous materials from the grass, bamboos and fruits that they have eaten. Afterwards, the fibrous materials are super-cleaned by boiling them in to a giant pot and once they are thoroughly cleansed, any color of choice is added to the pot.
Natural fibers from banana trees and pineapples are added to dung mixture to make the paper extra thick and strong. After mixing well, the moist fibers are separated in to small cakes or wafers of about 300-400 grams each. These cakes are then spread evenly over mesh-bottomed tray measuring 60cm by 90cm. The tray is then kept in the sun to naturally dry the paper. Once dry, the Poo Poo paper is then used to make various products by the company.
Well, that is how our dear elephant donates its precious poo to help us make quality paper products. So, how about promoting these Poo Poo paper products by gifting them to our close friends? But make sure you don’t gift these products to those who have a habit of chewing on paper. That would be kind of not so tasty!
