An interesting new research has concluded that a single sneeze inside a passenger’s train can affect as many as 150 commuters with cold. Experts say that after this discovery, they are trying to spread awareness so that people can prevent themselves from catching cold from others.
It is found that over 100,000 droplets full of the infection residue shoot out in a blasting sneeze. Now this number of droplets is quite enough to infect some 150 people close-by. These droplets when not checked by a handkerchief or a hand at least are capable of spreading the germs far and beyond from that one sneezer in all his directions.
The experts further revealed that the droplets once released can spread germs that then successfully manage to enter the system of poor unaware commuters in just five minutes. The commuters catch these cold infecting germs from the seats, doors, station escalation handrails etc.
A little while ago when I sneezed I was wondering, where did I get the germs from? Completely unaware of the fact that I only became part of the “spread cold via sneeze cycle” by shooting out some 200,000 droplets in my surrounding. So all you out there, be careful when the next time you sneeze, you may end up becoming part of this unending unstoppable sneeze cycle!
