First couple drops $2.07 million on 1.13 acre Dallas spread

Here is the Texas home that George W. Bush has purchased for his presidential retirement years. The home, on a Dallas cul-de-sac, sits on 1.13 acres and offers 8501 square feet of living space, according to city appraisal records. The property was purchased for $2.07 million in early-October by Robert McCleskey, the president's accountant, who is listed as trustee on deed records. Built in 1959, the home has been improved with a detached garage (1150 square feet), servants quarters (896 square feet), and a storage building (240 square feet).

Wow Dallas is very cheap compared to New York and San Francisco.... 8000+ sq feet for $2M.... In some places you get a 3 bedroom house for that amount (say San Francisco)

Good spread GW. You worked your hind-end off during the last eight years, so I hope you get to find some time to take a break from the name calling and accusations and get away from the political rhetoric.

I for one would never want that job. I'm glad there are those that think they can, for it has to be one of the most thankless jobs in the US.
