Who Delegates Inauguration Tickets?
There has been a bit of controversy here in Connecticut, regarding which Fourth District Congressman is actually supposed to give out Presidential Inauguration Tickets. Current Representative Christopher Shays (R-CT4) has served for over twenty years and is still the sitting Congressman, despite his November loss. Congressman-elect Jim Himes, though, has declared on his website that this is a task for the newly elected 111th Congress. Shays' employees (as I personallu know, because I actually worked there as an intern before and after the loss), have been fed up with the requests, and simply forward them on to Senators Dodd and Lieberman.
