A strong earthquake shakes Taipei,Taiwan.

The undersea tremor, which could be felt in the capital Taipei, struck at 8-46 IST about
31 kilometres off southeastern Taitung county at a depth of 30 kilometres.
A powerful 6.0-magnitude earthquake jolted Taiwan on Tuesday but there were no immediate
reports of damage, casualties or tsunamis.
Taiwan, which lies near the junction of two tectonic plates, is regularly shaken by earthquakes.
