Who is the real victim of terrorism?

It all started from September 11, 2001 with the attacks on the World Trade Centre building and now it has spread almost all around the globe, with the only difference that the United States of America is not the only target of it. It... yes, they are calling it ‘terrorism'. They also started a war against it in effort to control it rather than it controlling them. So, basically, the apparent super power was attacked and as a result, the whole world has been facing the consequences for seven years now.

We faced a disaster, we looked into the reasons behind it, we didn't ever really get over it till now and are confidently blaming just about anyone who seems suspicious, we tried to sow the seeds for a new tree hoping for the produce to be fruitful and we are still waiting for it, knowing that we are just getting more and more tangled because we are the real victims of it and have been stuck in this ‘war against terrorism'.

We here is us. The general masses who read and watch news about terrorist attacks every other day. We see how they are blaming each other for such acts and not doing anything in particular to bring an end to it. All that is happening as a consequence of terrorism is affecting us because not every one of us can afford to roam around and go out in bullet proof Mercedes with security and protocol to protect ourselves like our presidents and leaders, with all due respect. All news channels, international or local, call in experts and analysts to state their opinions about the recent attacks so people listen to what they have to say about bringing this never-ending chaos to a stop. Yes, we only listen because we already know that their opinions won't be counted upon or implemented by those who have the power to do so.

With the first attack on the World Trade Centre, people started thinking twice before going to their respective work places. When suicidal attacks started happening at worship places/temples, people, specifically Muslims were reluctant to go to the Masjid (a worship place where Muslims go to offer their prayers) to offer the Friday prayers. Then it started taking place at restaurants, shopping malls and aristocratic hotels where people from all around the world come to visit. This created havoc and thus, resulted in turning that whole particular area into a ‘no-entry' zone. All this has only concluded in creating fear amongst people and has eventually restricted them to some extend from going out. As of now, every attacks leaves such a strong impact in a horrifying way that people prefer staying at home and only step out if it's a case of an emergency. I don't really quite know how someone can stay calm and not let the fear take control over him with such things going on around him. Sad as it is, this is my conclusion.
