They say religion provides you with the best codes of conduct to lead a successful life in this world and in the hereafter (for those who believe in it) and with that primary guide in hand, you don't need a secondary direction from anyone to learn how to take the next step. So, if all of us follow our religions rightly, there is a fair chance nobody will be discriminated, left behind or criticized for their doings because we all will be following the same code of conduct, right?
Following the religion I have been since the day I was born, I begin to doubt now whether I am following it because I believe in it and I want to or because I was born with it?
While my mind struggles to get to a conclusion, I wonder why I have been having such thoughts to begin with that are considered to be a sin in my religion. The first reason that pops up is society. A part of your society respects and follows the ready made codes of life while the other part misuses it and converts it into something that is more convenient to follow and allows you to do as you please. Now here, being a part of the society you live in, lies the core reasons that lead you to have conflicting thoughts regarding who is right and who is not.
Actually, there is no need to judge who is right and who is wrong as long as you, yourself, are sensible enough to figure what you should do and how you should do it. People all around the world convert to other religions because they don't agree with the ones they were born with. That is how it should be. One should have the liberty of choosing what he or she agrees with because he and his conscience have to live with that. And if your conscience does not feel at ease with something that has been imposed on you, it is definitely not worth it. Because that way, your life in this world will be useless as it is and the one in the hereafter eventually gets ruined.
When it comes to religion, nobody is sure what he or she is talking about. Neither am I but I just wanted to point at the gifts (like sensibility, knowledge and consciousness) a few people have been given. They should utilize it and try to spread it to the ones who have not been blessed with it. If they get it, good for them, if not, then, well, keep trying till you see hope because you cannot really say or know for sure what is it that you do that gets you the reward.
