As the zimbabwean crisis continue to deepen, the time to act is now says the the Chinhoyi University Muslim Student Federation. The chairman and founder of the organisation, Mr Barakat Muziyi, said historically Chinhoyi stand as the breeding ground of zimbabwe's liberation struggle and today it is an inspiration where the battle to end zim crisis should begin. Mr Muziyi commented the recent gathering of Dare Rechimurenga in South Africa as a positive step and vowed to support the movement in zimbabwe "Our position as students is that we believe the time to act is now, with our empty bellies and tattered clothes we will do all that is in our favour, inshaallah, to ensure that zimbabwe will work again.'' However, Barakat dismissed any idea of al-qaeda -attack style but reaffirmed that whatever option necessary shall be taken inorder to stop the mess in zimbabwe.
''We are not terrorists, he said, our cause is the liberation of innocent zimbabweans from the grip of dictatorship that has ruined this country." Mr Barakat was speaking at the inaguaral session of the organisation recently at Cold Stream Masjid in Chinhoyi. The session was attended by a number of of Islamic dignitaries in zimbabwe.
