The word tattoo is said to has two major derivations- from the polynesian word ‘ta' which means striking something and the tahitian word ‘tatau' which means ‘to mark something'. The history of tattoo began over 5000 years ago and is as diverse as the people who wear them. The first tattoos probably were created by accident. Someone had a small wound, and rubbed it with a hand that was dirty with soot and ashes from the fire. Once the wound had healed, they saw that a mark stayed permanently.
Of all kinds of tattoos that I find Dragon Tattoos the most attractive. The reason being they represent the power of a man. For example the Chinese dragon tattoo represents Wisdom or a mystical dragon that symbolize the inner beauty. The fantasy creatures represent the strength of a warrior. It's like a power symbol for men. The Eastern dragon is regarded as a caring protector of people, dispenser of life-giving water, and herald of fertility and good fortune. The Western dragon, on the other hand, is an evil creature that destroys villages and collects and guards huge hoards of treasure.
In the gallery you will find some of the tattoos that I've collected from various websites.
