As zimbabweans passionately awaits the outcome of Sunday talks deadlock, scheduled for south africa, mr morgan tsvangirai of the opposition party, mdc, has shifted his stance and is now demanding elections even if mr mugabe of zanu-pf concedes to his initial demands. according to reports coming from harvest house, mdc headquarters in harare, tsvangirai is not ready to work with zanu-pf citing lack of transparency. the sources say tsvangirai will not agree to any resolution on sunday other than UN-monitored elections in two weeks. meanwhile zimbabweans whose hopes of economic revival were entrusted on the outcome of the sadc initiated talks are now reeling in shambles as the talks are fast becoming a nightmare. infalation is rampant, cholera outbreak have left more than 56 people dead and inconsistent power supplies have forced many businesses to shut down.
