Three people were dead Sunday after a shooting at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City, which is located in Overland Park, about 11 miles south of Kansas City, an official said.

Police arrested the suspected shooter at an elementary school in the area nearby by 2:45 p.m. He reportedly made anti-semitic statements "Heil Hitler!" as he was led away by police.

Overland Park city spokesman Sean Reilly told the Associated Press, two people died at the Center of Greater Kansas City campus and one was killed at Village Shalom.

A spokeswoman for Overland Park Regional Medical Center said the hospital was treating a 14-year-old male who was in critical condition,Reuters reported.
