Something interesting happened in the Heather Elvis case on Friday: Officials closed down Peachtree Landing for a "forensic reenactment." The reenactment lasted several hours and came with very little information released by investigations. Divers and equipment was used to "determine possible tidal flows and patterns that may assist in recovery of evidence." Friday's cryptic search revealed that investigators have an interest in PTL in regards to finding evidence in Heather's murder. Why would such a reenactment even take place? What would they have to "reenact?"
Crime scene reenactments are important to criminal/crime profiling as much as it is to detectives who are trying to search for clues in a case. Succesful crime scene reenactments can lead detectives in the right direction to either bring Heather home, or at least find more proof against Tammy Caison Moorer and Sidney Moorer. There is also another possibility, but this is just speculation: What if one of the two suspects confessed?
Could Horry County investigators be working on information taken from either Sidney or Tammy Moorer? More specifically: Could either of the duo have confessed in some way, or at least shared some kind of information that would make investigators look more closely at PTL?
