2014 Sochi Olympics Medal Count: Schedule, results, winners Friday

The 2014 Sochi Olympics medal count for Friday results are in. Germany has slim lead despite no medal win with 7 golds. Switzerland however is trailing close behind with five 5 golds after hauling two on Alpine Skiing and men's cross country.

Canada, Norway, United States and Netherlands are trailing behind with with four golds each but the Canadians stay at solo third with five silver at their belt as of Friday night.

The night belongs to Belarus in snatching two golds in women’s biathlon and freestyle skiing. Belarus has now 3 golds and now at 7th place.

Japan has their moments as well in men's figure skating after Yuzuru Hanyu snatched Japan's first gold despite hard falls on two jumps. But he still leads in the judges scorecards after some deductions due to highest technical score of his other elements.

There are 25 countries that won medals including Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Croatia got it’s first medal both bronze and silver respectively.
