Iraq to pass security deal changes to US

Cabinet spokesman Ali Al Dabbagh declared that the ministerial council agreed yesterday to introduce changes to the security agreement on the content and draft of the agreement that will be passed to the United States. Al Dabbagh announced that Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki is authorized to present changes to the US part through the Iraqi negotiating team. Environment Minister Nermeen Othman clarified that all articles of the security agreement were discussed and minor changes were introduced over some disputed points that are considered as a violation to the Iraqi Constitution.
On the other hand, the Iraqi Government condemned the US air raid on Syria calling as well to stop “rebels activities” in Syria. In the first Iraq denunciating stand to the US raid, Al Dabbagh noted that the government refuses US strikes on locations inside Syrian territories calling on the government for further cooperation and coordination in favor of both countries. Al Dabbagh asserted that the government has started investigations in the incident calling on US Forces not to carry on such actions.
