Olympic hockey is going to have all eyes on the 2014 Winter Olympics. There is nothing like a good battle on the ice and it seems like once every four years might be a little too long. This year the cheering for the best will have a global feel, but there are three teams that fans think will medal in Sochi. Canada, America and Russia have the most popular teams at the Olympics this year.

The Canadians have done battle in the past and return as Olympic champions. The team returns to the ice tough and ready to defend the gold. Watching Canada at the 2014 Olympics might have every hockey fan impressed, but the team isn’t the only good choice on the ice.

Team USA finished in 2010 with the Silver medal. Looking to bump up the action in Sochi the Americans definitely have something to prove. Every USA hockey fan is hoping to see America take down Canada in an epic rematch in 2014.

Before these two teams can even eye the podium, there is Russia consider. In Vancouver the team did poorly, but with the home advantage and a tough team, anything is possible.

Add the fact, that if any three of these teams compete each other it would be ratings gold and NBC (along with the rest of the world) has to be praying this happens. When the Olympic hockey starts in Sochi make note of all the people who are going to be watching. It’s going to be one of the best sports to watch this year.
