Update: An email from HCSO Lt. Lt. Carmen Mureddu confirms that another woman by the name of Heather Elvis checked into the hospital that night, not the actual missing woman. This was an error in the police report.
Why did Heather Elvis check into Conway Hospital the night she was last seen? According to an official Horry County Police report, that is exactly what happened, but this detail only creates more questions than answers. Among those questions is the obvious: Why haven't the loved ones of the missing woman publicized this information while pushing for mass awareness and public assistance?
The entire Horry County Police report regarding the disappearance of Heather Elvis can be read here. However, out of the four page report there are several pieces of it blacked out -- possibly to protect sensitive information that can't be revealed to the public yet. The picture above highlights the part where the officer revealed that Heather had checked into a hospital, but there are no details available (yet) on why she had been there.
The police report also reveals that an ex boyfriend of the missing woman is involved in the case -- a man named Jeremy Fleming who lives in the Myrtle Beach area. He is listed on the police report as "possibly violent." Another man listed in the police report is someone named Sidney Moorer -- who also happens to be the man mentioned in this report. He's reportedly the married man that Heather had been sleeping with at one point. Guess what: He has an arrest record.
