Seven reported killed in US helicopter strike in Syria Date: 26 / 10 / 2008 Time: 21:58 [Ma'anImages] Bethlehem – Ma’an – US helicopters reportedly attacked targets inside Syria near the border with Iraq on Sunday, killing seven people. Syrian TV said that US military helicopters shelled border area near Deir Az-Zour governorate killing a number of civilians. Syrian official news agency SANA said that seven Syrians at least were killed and several others injured in the Al-Bukamal area. Eyewitnesses reported that the airstrike targeted a house killing a father, his four children, and two men working in the area. Syrian channel Ad-Dunia reported that nine people were killed in the shelling.
