The search or Teleka Patrick continues, but there are no good updates in her case. Instead, the details that are being released indicate, truly, that there might be something gravely wrong. Reports have clarified on how and where her car was found abandoned, and this clarification makes me wonder why the FBI hasn't gotten involved. Maybe it's time for authorities to reach out for help.
Teleka's gold Lexus was located in Indiana on I-94 near the town of Portage -- which also happens to be the setting of the high profile murder of Amanda Bach back in 2011. This region is also not that far from the disappearance of Lauren Spierer and several other high profile crimes that remain unsolved. This region also happens to be over an hour away from where Teleka was last seen in Mich.
A trooper who searched the abandoned vehicle noted that nothing seemed suspicious, but her belongings were left inside of it -- except for her purse (if she even carried one). Officials have searched the area, including hotels, truck stops and restaurants. There is still no sign of Teleka Patrick.
The FBI needs to get involved and this is why: This missing person's case has crossed over from one state to the other. If this is a kidnapping -- and it very well may be -- then this already meets the criteria for the FBI to get involved. There are now two states worth of investigators on this case, and she still hasn't been found.
