The driver of the Porsche GT that was involved in a fatal crash that caused the death of “Fast and the Furious” star Paul Walker on Saturday, November 30 in Santa Clarita, Calif, has been identified as former race car driver Roger Rodas, reports Santa Clarita Radio Station.
Roger Rodas, 38, was a close friend to Walker for nearly a decade as they met first time at the auto racing series "Pirelli World Challenge". Rodas won many races as he won the Pirelli World Challenge twice in 2012 driving Ford Mustang.
Rodas leaves a wife named Kristine Marie Rodas and two children and he was the CEO of Always Evolving, "a performance shop with a passion for racing". He was owner of Cielo Recycling, a Central American recycling plant according to Autoweek.
“When we saw Paul and Roger leave, Paul was the passenger in the vehicle,” An eyewitness said. “They were both experienced drivers.”, reports Fox News.
