Palin tried to nix skate park after kids raise over 40k

A recent MTV article says it all about Sarah PalinSarah Palin and her leadership abilities. As Mayor of Wasilla Palin fought against a skate board park even after she promised several boys who were pushing the idea to the City Council that the park would go head if they raised half of the money to fund it.

After over $42,000 had been raised Palin informed the boys that the park was on hold, indefinitely. Being teenagers, and obviously determined, the boys decided not to take no for an answer. After several more City Council meetings and lots of local support, the boys finally got their skate park, which has already seen it's 10 year anniversary and has become a Wasilla success story.

Palin as a family gal with five kids and a Republican for change and family values? I don't think so. What does it say about someone that they would discourage several teenagers after they made the effort to raise $42,000 in a small town like Wasilla, Alaska for a skate park? You'll have to be the judge; as for me, she lost my vote a long time ago, and this fact just proves how right I am about this particular decision.
