Desiree Hartsock and Chrisof ABC's “The Bachelorette 2013” are still blissfully in love and living in Seattle, Wash., it seems. Now that Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici's wedding date has been announced, many are wondering if news for Desiree and Chris' wedding is far behind. A new report, however, claims at the moment the plans are somewhat on hold.
According to Life & Style, there is a bit of drama for Desiree Hartsock regarding her wedding plans. This week Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici of “The Bachelor 2013” were finally able to confirm their wedding date, which will be in January 2014. Now Life & Style claims that Hartsock is upset because her nuptials have to take a back seat to Sean and Catherine's.
The site claims that Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried are anxious to start working on their own wedding, but they have to wait so there can be some time between Sean and Catherine's. Hartsock supposedly didn't necessarily want a TV wedding, but she realized it was “the perfect opportunity to launch her dream career as a bridal designer.”
Life & Style also says that Hartsock “had her heart set on a summer date,” but the network doesn't want to televise a summer wedding because ratings would likely be lower than what they could get at other times of the year. The site's source goes on to say that Desiree is “very upset about not being able to get married in the summer like she's always dreamed." They add, however, that she's willing to compromise because she “just wants to get married so bad, but still wants to take advantage of having a TV wedding.”
Just how much truth is there to these reports? That much is unknown. Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici's wedding taking priority should hardly be a surprise to Desiree Hartsock, plus if she dreamed of a summer wedding, there doesn't seem to be any real conflict here.
As for the ratings and summer issue, again, that shouldn't really come as a surprise. All of the previous “Bachelor Nation” weddings have taken place over the winter. Trista and Ryan Sutter along with Ashley and JP Rosenbaum married in December, Molly and Jason Mesnick married in February, and now Sean and Catherine will wed in January.
The good news is that Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried seem to be doing fantastically well if they are this far into planning wedding details with the network. Will they find a date that everybody can embrace? It doesn't sound like Hartsock wants to wait until next fall to marry Siegfried, but it's pretty much a given that ABC will win on this one. Could “Bachelor Nation” fans really end up with two weddings in 2014? It's looking that way so far!
